The DPD maintains records based on Police Beats (patrol areas) or Reporting Areas (units based on Census Tracts).

Beats are large area, usually including a number of RA's in a two or three neighborhoods. Reporting Areas (RA's) are compact and provide a better comparison of crimes in your immediate area.

When the Description Category is blank, that usually means an incorrect UCR Code was entered.
