Every weekend, the Dallas Police Department sends a summary of activities (the good, the bad and the ugly) on Lower Greenville to neighborhood associations in the area. That message and other information of note to area residents is posted on this page by Sunday afternoon.

Dallas Police Report for February 5 and 6, 2010
Friday February 5
- The weather was cool and cloudy.
- The crowd and traffic were moderate.
- Six public intoxication arrests were made. One at 180, one at Malibu, two at 5600 Alta, and two in the general area.
- Three parking citations were issued: One at 5600 Morningside, one at 5500 Winton, and one at 3500 Worcola.
Saturday February 6
- The weather was cool and cloudy.
- The crowd and traffic were moderate.
- Three persons were arrested for public intoxication.
New Storm/Tornado Siren coming to Lowest Greenville
The City has posted a (small, very low to the ground) notice that they are installing tornado / storm alert siren in our neighborhood.
It will stand on the southwest corner of Greenville Avenue, about 150 feet south of Belmont Avenue, on the grassy strip at the edge of the Blockbuster parking lot.

Dallas Police Report for January 29 and 30, 2010
Friday January 29
- The weather was cold and windy. The traffic and crowd were both light.
- Three public intoxication arrests were made. One at the Taco Cabana, and two at 5600 Alta.
- Four parking tickets were issued. Two at 2100 Summit, one at 5600 Lewis, and one at 5600 Alta. All were for a parking sign violation.
- One traffic citation was issued at 1800 Greenville
Saturday January 30
- The weather was cold, but not windy. The crowd and traffic were moderate to heavy.
- Five public intoxication arrests were made. Three at Malibu, one at 180, and one on the sidewalk.
- One arrest was made for DWI at 1900 Greenville.
- One vehicle was towed for street blockage at 5700 Martel.
- One traffic citation was issued at 2100 Greenville.
Dallas Police Report for January 22 and 23, 2010
Friday, January 22
The weather was warm for this date.
The crowd and traffic were moderate.
Two public intoxication arrests were made. One citation was issued for possession of drug paraphernalia.
Five traffic tickets were issued. Three parking tickets were issued. One vehicle was towed from 2000 Summit for a RPO violation.
Saturday January 23
The weather was cool and cloudy. The crowd and traffic were heavy.
The night was mostly slow until the bars closed. The crowd was not cooperative. Several fights broke out at the same time, and numerous arrests were made. Five males and four females were arrested for public intoxication.
Nine traffic citations were issued. One citation was issued for "failure to appear."
One of the fights occurred at La Vista/Greenville, another one was at Alta Greenville right near where the paddy wagon was parked.
Supplement January 29
A review of arrest related paper work shows that of the public intoxication arrests made, two were in front of Malibu, one was in front of 180, two were in front of Sofranos, and two were in the 7-11 parking lot. The balance occurred on the street, side walk, or parking lot in the area of 5600 Alta, 5600 Sears, and 1800 - 2000 Greenville.

Dallas Police Report for January 15 and 16, 2010
Friday January 15th
- The weather was cool with and cloudy. There was a light to medium crowd and a similar level of traffic.
- One arrest was made for drugs (cocaine). One DWI arrest was made at 5600 Sears. Seven males and two females were arrested for public intoxication. The PI arrests were made at 5600 Sears, and 1900 Greenville. It is not known what club the drunks were in.
- Twelve traffic citations were issued at 1900 - 2000 Greenville.
- A disturbance call came out at the 7-11. No action was taken.
Saturday January 16th
- The weather was clear and cool. There was a large but controllable crowd with a moderate amount of vehicular traffic. Traffic flow was reasonable with very little disruption.
- Four males were arrested for public intoxication outside of the businesses.
- One FLID (Hit and Run) traffic accident was reported.
- Twenty five moving violations were cited
- Seven regulatory violations were cited
- Three Failure to Appear citations were issued to offenders
- About 2am, two loud blasts, of unknown origin, were heard near the 5600 blk of Alta. Unknown citizens indicated the blast came from a dark green BMW. The vehicle was not located. Patrons/citizens departed before they could be more thoroughly interviewed. The blasts did not cause alarm among persons in the area. No shell casings were located.

Dallas Police Report for January 8 and 9, 2010
Friday January 8th
The weather was extremely cold and windy. There was a light crowd and little traffic.
One public intoxication arrest was made at 5600 Sears.
Twelve parking citations were issued. No vehicles were towed.
A loud noise call came out at Richmond/Greenville. The noise was not located.
Saturday January 9th
The weather was cold, but not as cold as last night. The crowd was much larger, and there was a high volume of traffic.
Sixteen arrests were made for public intoxication, twelve males and four females. These took place at 1900 - 2000 Greenville. One arrest for warrants only was made after a traffic stop at 5600 Alta.
Three traffic citations were issued during six other traffic stops.

Friday, December 18th
The weather this evening was chilly with moderate traffic and crowds.
Public Intoxication Arrests
- There were no arrests this evening.

- 6700 La Vista - Illegal parking (towed)
Etcetera
- A call came out at Summit and Alta regarding a disturbance. Upon the officer’s arrival, no one was at the location.
Saturday, December 19th
The weather was cold with large crowds and large amounts of traffic leaving from the parking lots as the clubs closed.

Illegal Parking Citations
- Seven parking citations were issued, none were towed. [The DPD did not provide a detailed listing of where the vehicles were towed from; we hope to have that list next week]
Etcetera
- There was a disturbance at Club Shade that was resolved prior to the officer’s arrival.
DPD Gang Unit
- The DPD Gang Unit was out on Greenville Avenue this evening. The unit’s presence was needed to possibly identify any gang members that might be hanging out on Lowest Greenville. The unit conducted several traffic stops. We do not have total of how many arrests or citations were made, but will have the information on next week’s report.
