Old East Dallas burglar is brazen - and elusive

Monday, June 7, 2010

By NANCY VISSER / The Dallas Morning News

Three times a burglar broke into Erin Sweeney's home in Old East Dallas, the third time while she was asleep upstairs. She decided she couldn't spend another night there and prepared to move away from Dallas.

And still, the burglar returned and ransacked everything, even her Goodwill boxes.

Sweeney, 27, isn't the only person who's been spooked by this cat burglar. He has crept into numerous homes in Munger Place and around Lower Greenville Avenue, often while people are asleep inside. And he's returned to hit several of them two or three times.
